With this post we launch a new section of this site: the “Selected papers” category. The idea is to disseminate articles from authors who are members of the network, but also to share interesting Open Access articles, with COVID-19 and related issues in mind. Educational technologies have been used massively by many institutions in the last few months, with this column we want to give some opportunities for reflection.
Today’s article is from Sara Guri-Rosenblit from The Open University of Israel, one of our founding members. It stresses the fact that e-teaching is not merely transferring class teaching to an online setting. It requires many different capabilities, which university teachers have not acquired through their experiences as students and teachers, and  the article proposes what should be done in order to get efficient and effective e-learning by enhancing e- teaching.
