ONLINE Meeting #5 in Buenos Aires, 3-4 November 2020
The University of the Future Network with the collaboration of the Centre of Innovation in Pedagogy and Technology of the Secretarý of Academic Affairs of the University of Buenos Aires invites to the V Annual Meeting: transformations in higher education: challenges, actions and projections, which will be held virtually during October 29th - November 4th, 2020.
University of the Future Network featured on UNESCO’s website “Futures of Education”
On August 24 the report "Re-Visioning the Future of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education" from UFN members Dorothée Schulte, Eva Cendon and Mpine Makoe was featured on UNESCO's website, inside the "Future of Education" iniative.
Contribution to the UNESCO Futures of Education Initiative
With a report on re-visioning the future of teaching and learning in higher education, the University of the Future Network contributes perspectives to the UNESCO Futures of Education Initiative. For the report, focus groups were conducted in May and June 2020 with experts of the University of the Future Network. The experts discussed visionary paths with regard to teaching and learning in higher education, related challenges and opportunities, significant conditions to ensure accessibility and inclusivity and how visioning of teaching and learning will look like post Covid-19.
Call for chapters – The changing character of universities: the impact of the COVID19 pandemic.
Contributions are invited for a volume of analyses of the impact of the COVD19 pandemic on the changing character of universities. The book is produced from the University of the Future Network, and edited by UFN members Dr Martha Burkle of the University of Alberta, Canada, and Professor Alan Tait, Open University, U.K.
Research Trends in Mobile Learning in Higher Education: A Systematic Review of Articles (2011 – 2015)
Today's article is from Greig Krull and Josep Maria Duart Montoliu. Focused on the potential and use of mobile devices in higher education, which has been a key issue for educational research and practice since the widespread adoption of these devices, the article is relevant to the (post-)COVID phase due to the increased use of mobile devices in teaching and learning.
E-Teaching in Higher Education: An Essential Prerequisite for E-Learning
With this post, featuring a paper by Sarah Guri-Rosenblit, we launch a new section of this site: the "Selected papers" category. The idea is to disseminate articles from authors who are members of the network, but also to share interesting Open Access articles, with COVID-19 and related issues in mind. Educational technologies have been used massively by many institutions in the last few months, with this column we want to give some opportunities for reflection.
Response to COVID-19
With this document, the University of the Future Network sets out its position in the framework of the exceptional situation that Higher Education institutions are experiencing throughout the world. With this manifesto, we would like to contribute to the reflection and exchange of ideas for the joint construction of the future of higher education.
Partnerships for innovation:
fostering university & enterprise dialogue
In every UFN event, space is reserved for meeting the host institution and for networking between researchers and other actors. The common interest resides in the discussion of topics such as future development trends, challenges that must be faced, changes that may or may not occur. For 2019 the focus will be on university-enterprise relationships, addressed in this workshop.
Meeting #4 in Milan, 10-12 November 2019
The fourth annual meeting of the University of the Future Network will take place in Milan, Italy, at the University of Milano-Bicocca. The main topic that will be explored during the meeting will be the relationship between university/universities and the enterprise world.
An open event on the 12th of November will explore the topic of university and enterprise relationships.
